I am Violet, a stay at home mom of 3 by grace.
Change is the only constant thing in life. I started this channel as a beginner friendly cooking channel in hopes for my future kids to have a place to learn how to make our family meals.
Now,my kids are here and motherhood has been a journey. I am currently all about family, homeschooling , still cooking, stay at home mom life , and trying to slow down so that I can "hear" myself living
I hope you enjoy this current beautifully chaotic stage of my life with me.

Thanks for the information. I’m front Sierra Leone and we have the ogiri made from sesame seed. Saw a lady cooking banga soup and she mentioned dawadawa and I was curious because the state I’m leaving in the 🇺🇸 don’t have ogiri but we have the dawadawa. Good to know that I can use it as substitute for my potato leaves.
He constantly asks me to repeat myself but he confesses that he already heard me the first time. He just needed to hear me say it again for OCD's sake 😂🤦♂️

Thank you so much for this. Good job. However, Delta state is in the South-South geopolitical zone.
Ok. Thanks
🤝🏾
i use an ice-cream scoop to mak them round.works perfectly
I noticed no Maggi was added, is that suppose to be so?😢
It's not compulsory...
@@Veeluvstocookcan i add dried blended crayfish as season to give it some flavor?
Cooking taste is subjective.but I will say it will not be the authentic agoyin sauce flavor
There will be salt in your beans or yam, so it not compulsory in the sauce.
Thanks for sharing will be trying this today😊

Hello thank you so much for this. Can one use dawadawa for ofe akwu or egusi soup ?
Yes, very well. It actually does the same job as okpei. It tastes amazing
@@gladohams1171Hello, thank you very much.
Oh yes. You can . I actually use dawadawa for egusi . I love ogiri isi in ode akwu and okpei in draw soups ..
Korra whirl it around in a bowl , she drop a lil water in the bowel first and it comes out round
What of one paint of flour for buns to be soft
Please Ma, how many minutes did you leave it to rest?
Well done, the Ijebus also use the egusi seeds for their ogiri. Dawadawa is the same as the iru woro aka locust beans, it is just the sun dried form of the iru after it's been pressed into a disc like form. this is a key form of preservation in the Northern parts of Nigeria. the sun drying also slightly modifies the flavour cos we end up with a much more concentrated variant and a slightly chocolatey taste as well to it. Thanks for this video
Great job, thank you
Thanks for watching!
Thank you
Interesting. It's like a mix between hot water cornbread, grits, and dumplings 🤔🤔🤔
Welldone. I love this and the teachings along with the cooking.
Glad you enjoy it!
Love! Thank you🫶🏾 making this for my dads birthday. He has been longing for this.
Happy birthday!!
Thanks for the teaching. ma in the process of mixing you removed from the dry ingredients. after turning the wet ingredients to mix with the dry ingredients the last flour you poured to thicken it was it also from the dry ingredients or another separate flour.
From the dry ingredient.
Thank you so much dear

I think ginger is a must in making Agonyin sauce
To each his own 😊
